You can request your ballot online at apps.web.maine.gov/cgi-bin/online/AbsenteeBallot/index.pl or by contacting the town office at 437-2900.  When we receive the ballots in early October they will be mailed out.

 ***Beginning February 1, 2024, voters who will be at least 65 years of age by the next election or who self-identify as having a disability may apply for ongoing absentee voter status: PDF | Word. A voter who qualifies will automatically receive an absentee ballot for each statewide election, municipal election and any other election for which the voter is eligible to vote and need not submit a request for each election. Voters must return completed form to their municipal clerk.  Please let us know when you are requesting your application if you qualify.

The Assessors have signed the 2024 Tax commitment.  The MIL rate has been set at 15.65.  The valuation is 90%. The commitment book can be viewed here:

2024 Tax Bills

The Municipal Officers of the Town of Albion are accepting bids for a 3-Year Contract for Winter Road Maintenance, Sanding, Salting, and Snowplowing.  Information is available in the Town Office during regular business hours.  Sealed bids must be received before 4:00 pm on July 22, 2024.  Bids will be opened during the regular Selectmen’s meeting on July 22, 2024, at 6:00 pm at the Besse Building.

The Robbins Road Bridge will be closing for about 3 weeks starting as early as mid-July for repairs. The repairs include raising the deck surface and adding material to make the transition from dirt road to bridge more agreeable to the traveling public. This work will also help with better drainage of the bridge and help with the longevity of this structure.
