The Town of Albion will no longer be using the China Transfer Station for 2025. Residents can utilize Gregory’s Transfer Station located at 120 Industrial Drive in Fairfield for bulk disposal needs....

Dog Licenses were DUE December 31, 2024. $25 late fee per dog begins February 1, 2025. This fee is in addition to the license fee. Proof of current rabies certificate may be required.

Albion is a rural community located on the Northeast side of Kennebec County in Central Maine. With a total area of 39.46 square miles (38.83 sq miles land, .63 sq miles water) Albion is home to just over 2,000 people in approximately 916 households.

Inland Water Area – 408 Acres
Previously called Freetown, Fairfax and Lagonia
Incorporated March 9, 1804, the 151st Town
Part set off to China, June 5, 1818
Name changed to Lagonia, March 10, 1821
Name changed to Albion, February 25, 1824
Part of Unity Plantation annexed March 30, 1852
Part sent off to Benton, March 14, 1853
Part of Benton annexed May 26, 1989
